Thanks to its balanced combination of elements and its simplicity and freshness this traditional Hawaiian dish is fashionable and is prefect to take at home or take as a tupper.

In Hawaii 'poke' means 'to cut' as poke is traditionally composed of pieces of fish cut into cubes on top of a salad or rice base.

There are more and more versions of this delicious dish to suit all tastes and diets as well as local ingredients.

Poke Bowl Bajo en Calorías 1. The Base The first thing you need is to choose the base for your bowl. Grains or salads such as kale cabbage, assorted lettuce or spinach are often used. If you are not going to use salad, we recommend that you use konjac couscous and amaranth since it is a very satiating and nutritious food or, failing that, rice konjac, noodles or knots of konjac to reduce carbohydrates and calories. 2. The Protein You must choose the protein and cut it into cubes of approximately 2cm. Traditionally, in Hawaii, fish such as tuna, lounge or prawns are used. You can use tofu to make this a vegetarian dish. 3. The Sauce You can use the one you like the most, but beware of calories! From here we recommend using olive oil, soy sauce in moderation, ponzu sauce, lemon juice or even mustard. These sauces either have healthy fats for your body (such as oil) or are low in calories. 4. The Rest Here you can use your imagination (or open the fridge and see what's there!). From cucumber, seaweed, tomato, onion, nuts (without passing), avocado (without passing!), mushrooms, spices, tender shoots, seeds etc. VARIATIONS 1. Vegan As we have mentioned, the most common for the vegan version of the bowl is to use tofu, but you can also use seitan. Combine it with kale, avocado or mushrooms. 2. Keto Use a high-fat fish like salmon. Use avocado and olive oil to accompany and season in addition to other vegetables you fancy. The blend of olive oil, soy sauce and lemon is delicious to season the salmon! Use The Konjac Shop paste to remove carbohydrates! 3. Paleo Use a fish with little fat and a lot of protein, such as tuna. Avoid avocado and other fats. Put cucumber on it. Use The Konjac Shop paste to remove carbohydrates!
